Mall management sandbox sim
Mall Craze is a premium sandbox-building simulation game where the player gets to take control of a mall and make decisions about how the mall is constructed and managed. The player will be able to build a number of outlets, including restaurants, fitness centers, movie theaters, and more. There are also lots of customization options.
Mall Craze makes use of a 3D top-down view, much like popular building and management sims, such as Two Point Hospital and The Sims 4. Players can construct new outlets through a simple drag-and-drop system where the outlet type is selected and an outline drawn.
Manage a mall
The core premise of Mall Craze is the construction of a successful mall. The player will have to decide which outlets to construct to create a profitable mall that consumers want to visit. This involves choosing the types of stores and other outlets, balancing the books, customizing the way the mall looks, and making other important decisions. It also plays like many other management sims, allowing the player to easily drag and drop things into the mall.
Users can create new rooms and outlets by dragging the shape of the construction on the mall floor. Although, the player must weigh up the costs of the things they buy against the profits they are likely to generate. Since it’s currently in the Early Access stage, this game primarily focuses on the building and customization aspects of the game. So far, the management aspect hasn’t been fully fleshed out yet.
Currently, the game features a rather bare-bones Management Window. It’s bound to be improved in future updates and before the game’s official release, so more features are going to be implemented. Right now, it features the Mall Dashboard, Shops Overview, and Customers Overview—buttons that allow you to open or close shops, oversee sales and foot traffic, and restock if necessary.
Fun but standard management game
Mall Craze does not do anything revolutionary for the sim management genre, but it is a good example of the type of games often found in this genre. Players who enjoy this type of game may enjoy the Early Access game and the low-poly art style does give it a distinctive look. The management aspect of it is a bit lacking at the moment, but that’s expected to be remedied in future updates.
